Book Boyfriend Blog Hop for #ChickLitMay

May is International Chick Lit Month, and we’re celebrating in style with the #ChickLitMay Book Boyfriend blog hop, which runs May 15-21. One lucky hopper will win a Kindle Paperwhite and 30 ebooks! Info on how to enter AND how to vote for your favorite book boyfriend candidate are at the bottom of this post, along with links to each stop.

Welcome to my stop on the Book Boyfriend Blog Hop! I’m excited to introduce you to your next book boyfriend and the best candidate for this year’s #ChickLitMay Book Boyfriend -- Owen Bannister. He’s one of the hunky hockey-playing Bannister boys from Icing On the Date – the first book in the romantic comedies of the Bannister Brothers series, and he’s hot enough to heat up the kitchen of Gabby Davis, the cute caterer that’s going to change his entire game.

Meet Owen – from Icing On the Date

“Hey there. I’m Owen. I just have a minute because I’m headed to the ice arena for practice. I play for the Colorado Summit on the same hockey team as my brother, Bane. I’m not going to tell you that we have a reputation for fighting and getting into trouble, but we have earned the nickname, the Brawling Bannisters.

But I’m having a hell of time concentrating on my game lately, ever since I met Gabby Davis, this gorgeous curvy caterer that is as sweet as the frosting she slathers on the cupcakes she bakes.

I know it wasn’t the best way to meet her—drunk and on the floor of the women’s restroom at the hotel where she was catering an event—and yeah, I probably shouldn’t have licked that frosting off her chest when I didn’t even know her—but damn, I thought she was an angel. A chocolate frosting-smeared angel that looked and smelled and felt so damn good.

And now I can’t get her out of my mind.

I tried to thank her by showing up at her shop the next morning, but I didn’t figure on getting roped into making several dozen cupcakes and spending the afternoon with her selling them from the back of her cupcake truck—but oddly enough—I didn’t seem to mind. In fact, I didn’t want to leave. That truck kept us in close proximity, and I noticed every time her hip brushed mine or I bumped up against her soft curves.

Too bad she’s not interested. She’s made it clear that I’m absolutely not her type.

I have a bad reputation for being a playboy and not being able to commit, but this woman has my brain spinning and has thrown off my whole game. I feel like I’m either about to win the championship or get seriously checked.

I’m hoping that if you vote for me, maybe Gabby will see that I’m not such a bad guy and let me back into her kitchen…and her heart.
